SOHO Coffee Co.

For those of you who like the niceties of the big chains such as Starbucks and Costa, you won’t feel out of place here at SOHO, although here things are brighter, bolder and friendlier. With a drinks menu that ranges from standard coffee fare to indulgent milkshakes (with dairy free options) you can be sure to grab something hot or cold that will fill the void. Food here is fantastic too as their chilled section houses several wraps, sandwiches and snacks that cater to those who love to sink their teeth into some meat or anyone more fond of jackfruit. Whether you come here to eat or to remain caffeinated, you won’t leave dissatisfied.

Whittard Of Chelsea

Tea is of course one of the few parts of British culture that remain superglued to the identity of England, but Whittard’s isn’t all Earl Grey and biscuits (though they do have both of those). You may have been into one of these well-lit, fully stocked stores before in a shopping centre, but in London there are places you can sit down and enjoy much of the tea they have to offer in a café environment. In Covent Garden you may be enticed through their doors with a free sample outside and more at their freshly brewed transparent teapot stations around the store, further in you will find a quaint seating area where their vast fruit, black, white and herbal teas take up several menu pages. If you plan to get ‘tea drunk’ this is the place to be.

188-189 Drury Lane

One for the busy youth of London, this small but cosy café sits on the street famous for being where the muffin man came from, but muffins aren’t all they have on offer here. With a tasty selection of baked goods that include everything from savoury snacks to vegan cookies, their fresh section could satisfy you alone. The folks here also have a full breakfast and lunch menu that aims to please packed with fanciful breads, fresh fruit and gluten free items. This place is perfect for anyone looking for a spot to charge their devices, read a book and keep their hunger at bay but be warned it is hugely popular at lunch times and doesn’t have a huge amount of seating.
